About the School

Pinson Valley High School is a public high school located in Pinson, Alabama.  It is a part of the Jefferson County Board of Education.  Pinson Valley High School was established in 1972.  Its school colors are Garnet and Vegas gold and its mascot is the Indian.  It is the fifth largest high school in the Jefferson County School System.  Current enrollment is over 1,100 students.  Mr. Michael Turner is the current principal.

In 2008, a new Fine Arts and Science Center was added to the school.  The auditorium seats 670 in a state-of-the-art facility.  Among many other events, shows are presented by PVHS Theatre and the school's Dramatic Arts program.  The Fine Arts Center also houses the Pinson Valley Marching Chiefs, the school's band, and the PVHS Choir program.
