PINSON VALLEY MARCHING CHIEFS

Marching Band – The Pinson Valley Marching Chiefs have a rich tradition of outstanding bands.  In order to continue this tradition, all students must be committed and take pride in their work.  Open to all students’ grades 9-12 who have gone through three years of beginning band at the middle school level.  Students not meeting this requirement may enter the band through audition only. Students who are members of the marching band must attend all rehearsals and performances; this includes those held after school and during the summer. The Marching Chiefs will perform at football games, competitions and other performance opportunities in the area.  Band is a year-long course; therefore, students are required to play both semesters.

Auxiliary – Membership in the auxiliary is by tryout only.  The students agree to attend all rehearsals and performances, including summer activities.  Students who play instruments should be enrolled in the proper band class. Auxiliary members should also adhere to the Pinson Valley Auxiliary Constitution.

Symphonic Band- Open to all students grades 9-12 by audition. Students who do not audition into this band will enroll in Concert Band. Requirements for this audition are set for by the Band Director. This class will offer an advanced/accelerated curriculum of concert band music. This band will prepare and perform concert programs at the school, in the community, and for Music Performance Assessment.

Concert Band
